CAHAYA CITA
A charity exhibition by SARANA SENI
Sarana Seni is a group of Indonesian teenagers who love art and dedicate their time and passion to helping others in need. They invited Indonesian artists and showcased a six-day art exhibition, from the first to the sixth of November 2024, to raise funds for the disabled children and blind individuals cared for by Yayasan Bhakti Luhur and Mitra Netra.
Not only the invitation to distinguished guests, Sarana Seni also collaborate with Oemah Sekar Arum. A community of Batik artisans that has the vision to preserve Batik heritage especially from Betawi culture. The guests were offered a free lesson to make their own Batik on site. The young crowds were very keen to try and make themselves aware on the national heritage that they need to cherish.
The opening ceremony of Cahaya Cita by Sarana Seni celebrated the appreciation of Indonesian artists and their parents, who inspired them to do this project. It was an honour to have the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, cut the jasmine ribbon and open the exhibition. They also had MC Bertrand Antolin, and Adikara's performance entertained the speakers and the guests. All were in unison to support the less fortunate and the Indonesian art.
